This is an intense shooting/lecture 5-day workshop and is designed for beginner and intermediate photographers who want to master the use of natural light and its triple nature: color, direction and quality. We’ll be out shooting together every morning and late afternoon, occasionally at night. Every day David will work one-on-one with each participant, in the field and before class, looking at their work and helping them determine and achieve their photographic goals. The class will meet daily between photographing sessions for discussions, lectures and demonstrations, which will cover several topics such as quality and direction of light, day vs. twilight and night photography, composition and lens choice, the use of lines, light and dark, etc.
Southern Finland is an amazing place for photographers in June. The sun shines for most of the day and when, late in the evening, it’s near the horizon and preparing to set, you will have many opportunities to shoot in a light that is like nowhere else on earth.
